High-definition liposuction
The definition you dreamed of
Fitness is great. Working out is beneficial for your mindset, your sleep quality, your confidence and your health. But another gym goal is of course to look good. You want those well-defined arms, visible six-pack, tight flanks, and an overall more muscular look. But this is easier said than done. You may spend years at the gym and truly see an overall improvement, but you just cannot get that well-defined, snatched look. This is where HD liposuction comes into play. It is the cherry on the cake for ultimate fitness lovers who deserve the athletic look they always desired.
The essentials
HD liposuction or liposculpting is a state-of-the-art procedure to create a toned, athletic body shape through minimal incisions.
It is a more advanced and highly specialised form of liposuction, specifically for sporty and fit individuals who are looking for extra definition.
HD liposuction focuses on the natural enhancement of muscle definition and volume, through a combination of targeted, advanced liposuction techniques and thorough anatomical knowledge.
The pre-operative design is tailored to your body and the surgical goals you wish to achieve.
The main requirements for HD liposuction are: sportive lifestyle, stable weight, motivation, and realistic expectations.
Consider a downtime of 2 weeks with easy dressings. Avoid physical activity for 6 weeks.
Respect the recovery time well and you will profit from the transformation for the rest of your life.
What is High-Definition (HD) liposuction ?
The basis of HD liposuction or Liposculpting is of course the act of liposuction. Liposuction mainly involves removing excess fat from areas that are stubborn to slim down. I was trained in a world-renowned center in Marbella to not just "do liposuction", but to sculpt the body through the act of liposuction. You can read all about the liposuction procedure here. Everything that I write there also applies to HD liposculpting.
However, in order to get an athletic look, there is more involved than a plain liposuction. HD liposculpting involves four distinct targets:
Reduce the superficial fatty layer as much as possible, while still maintaining optimal blood perfusion to the skin
Identify the important muscle groups to determine the zones of liposuction
Identify the natural muscle intersections to improve their definition and create a snatched, athletic look
Enhance muscle volume through targeted fat grafting
As you can see, it involves much more work than a regular liposuction to improve the overall body shape and contour. Similar to you going all-in when working out, I have to go all in when performing HD liposculpting. It is as much art as it is surgery. I use all the liposuction techniques I master and combine that with the anatomical knowledge that is needed to tailor the plan of action to your specific body type. The ultimate goal is to create a more athletic, well-defined body with enhanced muscle definition and volume, while keeping a natural, "non-operated" look.
The pre-operative design is very specific to your body type. I apply a very patient-tailored approach for this type of surgery as everybody has a different anatomy. During the consultation, I will explain to you the procedure in more detail, with pictures and photographs, as well as which scars to expect and the post-operative care that will be needed. You can expect a down time of 2 weeks, with light dressings. In addition, the compression garments have to be worn for 12 weeks to get the best results.
HD Liposuction treats the superficial and deep fatty tissue, the skin, and muscular anatomy in order to achieve a natural, athletic and fit look. The pre-operative design is tailored to your body and the goals you wish to achieve.
What are the benefits of HD liposuction ?
HD liposculpting is literally a high-definition form of liposuction. It shares all of its benefits, but it adds a few more distinct advantages for those people who truly want to go the next level. As mentioned for liposuction, you will obtain an improved body shape and tightened skin. But there are a few other benefits that you will experience as well:
A more athletic look of your torso, abdomen, arms and back
Well-defined muscle edges and intersections, like you just finished the hardest workout of your life
Enhanced muscle volume in a natural way
A natural result without "surgical stigmata"
Are you a good candidate for HD liposuction ?
What is true for liposuction, definitely counts for HD liposculpting too: patient selection. The results that can be achieved with HD liposculpting depend on both the surgeon and the patient. I have to strive for perfection and use all the technical and anatomical knowledge that I have. You on the other hand, must maintain a sporty lifestyle to keep those great results after surgery. It is crucial that you see the art of high-definition liposculpting as an adjunct to your fitness program, and not as an alternative to it. To maintain a long-lasting result, your sporty and healthy lifestyle should be maintained so you can enjoy the results of your surgery for years to come. So according to my view, you are a good candidate for HD liposculpting if:
You have a stable body weight with a BMI below 28 (for females) or 30 (for males)
You already have a sportive lifestyle and are planning to continue that
You wish to achieve a more athletic look that gives you the extra push in the gym
You are motivated to maintain sport and diet into your daily routine to ensure long-lasting results
You have realistic expectations
If you recognise some of these signs, I recommend you to plan a consultation in order to see how we can improve your athletic shape and bring a positive impact to your life.
